Wednesday

More hospital stuff. Lots of walking around. Asking questions. Observing. Listening. Learning. Hmm. Nice stuff. Haha. Dead tired when i reached home.

Thursday

Final day. Sat down to talk with doctor. Treated to anything we want, but we chose the least expensive la. Went around taking pics in our white coats. Haha. Doctor was great. U know, if anyone of you inspire to be a doctor, don't just become a doctor. Become one like Dr Yap. Because he makes a difference in everyone who comes his way. He is a good doctor beyond that of any possible description. :)

Joined mom at PS again for snack and stuff.

Rushed for a concert at the esplanade in the evening. With dad and some of his friends. It was classical concert band. Posh music. But well, i was really tired at the end.

Friday

Rest day. Checked emails. Rushed some admin for the camp. Whao. Worked at the com till my back ached terribly.

Saturday

PARTY OF FRIENDS! Woohoo. Haha. Finally, after months of planning! Picked amandie and went to alethea's house. Made jelly, cooked rice, packed food. Then cabbed to wei en's house. More prep. Party was a blast! Haha. I enjoyed myself. Dinner was sushi making. So basically self service. Still. Haha. Yumms.

Sunday

Church. Headache. Home. Rest.

Monday

Guitar practice. Ouch. My fingers totally hurt okayy. But well. Lunch with lao, at tiong bahru plaza. Finally got to eat the famous laksa. Shopped for admin stuff at popular. Packed some donuts for snack. Zoooomed home to rest.

Tuesday

Scuba diving at pulau hantu. Haha omg. Today is soooo not my day for diving okayy. I had a girl's worst nightmare. Cramps. It was raining. I got bad sea sick. Like REAL bad. Vomited like twice. Yes. Gross but really. I felt terrible. Oh but the people on board with me on the boat were all great and nice! Haha. Except i think i might have totally gross-ed some of them out. Thanks to matthew, matthias and yanxun's encouragement, i actually took the chance and went snorkling with them! They were really nice. Kept waiting and like making sure i was feeling alright before we moved on tgt. All was okay and good. Except, okie yea, thou blur as usual, i snorkelled with the thingy on the wrong side. Ayee.. Anyway, i came back on the boat and sea sickness immediately striked again! Only, it felt worse. So i told them to go ahead without moi. Haha. They went onto pulau hantu for some exploration. And guess what?! When they came back, and just as yanxun was about the sit next to me, i puked! Yep. Not at him la. The last words i said to him was, "Stay away from me, i'm gonna vomit!!" And then...viola.. all was over.

Thank goodness they offered me tissue and water. Wow. Guys u know. Tissue?! Haha hmm. Okok. Yep. It was a good trip thou. Left with one last lesson now, and i'm done.

Whew. Can't wait till everything's over and then let the real holiday begins! :)

Our first lunch there. Hmm. How many ac guys does it take to open a can of ham? :P
Answer: as many as we have. Oh wait, "who says we open cans? We just umm.. pay others to, don't we?" Haha we still couldn't open it in the end. :P

Mm mm. Ppl always say what you cook always taste good. Okay la, edible.

First challenge - Flying Fox. The stick i'm holding was to drag the 'vixens', okie fine foxes in.

Pole challenge was fun.

sir: "dawn, scare a not? Not scary la. I did it all last night when u're were slping. Easy la. Later just do Gandhi cheer then u jump okie?

me, glares in disbelief: "haha ehh..i'll tell ya when i'm up there."

I was like still bargaining with mr mark on top of it about what cheer to shout before jumping. Haha. Guess heights wasn't a problem and lunch was more impt, so i jumped and whacked the bar! Woohoo! Trust me, the air is fresher up there. :P

Campfire night. Set our hearts ablazed.

And finally, after the ardous night games, it was GRADUATION! Haha. PLaying some 'talk to my back' game.

One of my best buddies during the camp. Becos of a wood splinter that got caught in her hand during the challenges, yeap ghim took us both to to first aid room. Haha we got to rest with air-con and he offered us a peach packet drink. Which basically was the best drink we had in DAYS la. Haha

Yea.

So last few days were a blur.

Friday

Scuba with cass, andy leow, jovial, sk and charlotte. Things just got even more stressful. Aye. I can't wait to just take the test and end these lessons man. Dinner with them before i rushed of to church again for WAH meeting.

Saturday

9 to 5 at church. Helping out with the camp brochures and 90s met up to finalise the stuff. I was there only to surpervise la. Haha. Teck jin and Eug are seriously big jokers. They're very very funny but no doubt nice too. The way they do things was just plain entertaining. Thought i might just have been 'niao' cos there was seriously no choice. Haha.

Sunday

Dinner with granny for her birthday. Ah well.

Monday

Tan Tok Seng hospital. Whao. I thought our day there was fantastic. Though there was a lot of waiting. Still. You learn a lot. I like listening to the doctor discussions. Given mini lab coats and nametags, we were ready to go. We were aroung the ICU for the whole day. It's seriuosly the most depressing place of the hospital. Cos tubes were inserted everywhere and machines surround your bed. Well, all the doctors there were real nice. Except they keep trying to disuade us from joing the medical force as a doctor. Which i guess is true, if u're in for the money, don't do it. Becos they don't pay u well. Even if u're to become a private doctor. I'd say money doesn't drive you long, nor very far. Don't harm others becoss of ur selfish desire. Besides, for doctors, the learning journey is endless.

Haha on the contrary, i think this attachment hasn't succesfully disuaded me, in fact, i think it pretty much inspires rather. Compassion, no doubt is key. And i see it in their eyes.

Tuesday

Day 2 was lighter. This time we visited the normal wards. U see lots of things going on. WE were also brought around o see the Operation room, the Resuscitation room, the A&E basically. And the doc did lots of explaination, answered our quesitons and stuff :) Haha.

Another week's just flew by...

Friday

Scuba pool lessons. Haha. I thought it was really scary. Like every sentence he said had a 'if u don't do this properly, or if u don't do that carefully, u can die' kinda anotation at the back. Whao. Felt very stressed. Haha. But basically quite fun also. We learn things like how to use the flippers properly, 'drop' into the pool, breathe through the snorkel, clear the fog and water, using the air tank etc. We spent sooo much time in the pool under the blazing sun that later in showers, Cass and i were complaining how unevenly charred we were. Haha.

After scuba, went to PS to join mom and cousins for lunch and shopping.

Saturday

Met up Alyssa at PS again. Talked a lot about ccaab stuff. haha.

Sunday

Lunch with mom and auntie pat.

Meeting for juniors camp. Boy, it was boring cos i'm not gonna be there during the camp itself, so not particularly involved in the games. But now teck jin has to drag me into it. Haha. K la. I'd say the youths can work well u know, the adulties shouldn't always discriminate the way we do stuff every time.

Monday

Guitar practice and meeting. Haha. I thought both were pretty good. Like throughout the journey on the way to Joanne's house, the comm. people kept telling a lot of lame jokes! Haha.

Thanks to nat's triple lunch servings, we started only at 3pm. When the drowsy afternoon mood sets in. Guess he pretty much made up for it by buying like a whole box of donuts for us all. Yays! Haha. And i brought mushmallows so we could play chubby bunny. Haha. I'm glad we got things organized a little. I was dead worried the night before. But i think i'm really thankful for each one of them in the comm. They make really good working partners. ;)

So we chilled out till pretty late after settling the important stuff. I looovvee her swing. Like her house has a really nice swing right in the middle of the garden. Her 3 dogs were just drop dead gorgeous and huge too! Haha had a hard time trying to stop them from licking my face though. haha.

Tuesday

Finally got some rest at home. So i did up the camp brochure for Juniors camp. Spent the whole day at it.

Wednesday

It was raining i rmb. Guitar practice. Outing with that two girls again. Whao. Embarrassing big time okayy. We bought 12 donuts fro lunch. 4 each. Omg. First time i see ppl dip donuts in chilli sauce and fish soup can?!?! No offence k, but i was honestly grossed out. Haha. Caught STARDUST. Seriously, i think everyone should go watch it, whether u're a fantasy fanatic like me or not. It's really nice. Magic, unicorns, love, cranky and funny ghosts, kings, princes, princesses and witches, all the magic ingredients for a fantastic fairy tale. And who says u need mega blockblaster hollywoodish stars to make a rocking good movie, huh?

Thursday

Kinda reminds me, it's an odd day to be updating my week. I mean it's usually done at the end of one or the beginning of another right? okay nvm. At least before i forget everything. Slept at 3am this morning to get the proposal for gutar camp ready. A huge big thank you to Joanne!! Without whom it could not been done at all. She stayed up with me to help get my initial proposal organized. Oh man. She's really really great.

Scuba theory in the morning. Wow. I'm quite surprised i didn't fall asleep. Lunch outing with sohteng, andy, yx, jp, char after that. Borrowed some books and went home to sleep. Whew.

06/11/07 - :

WOW! CCAAB's over! Woohoo! Ahh well, but since we've all been sworn to secrecy by the camp, i can't say too much abt it too. U want details, just come find me. Haha...

Anyway, so basically, our diet consisted from anything between mealwormies to smelly half-cooked veggies to well, shalln't need to say more... Sleeping time ranged from 4hrs to just 1hr! Oh but surprisingly, the day we had the least sleep, was the same day we had the most fun! Yea yays! Haha.

Girls and guys, sports and performing arts were all treated alike. Guess it was the closest you could get to army style for us le. We had people from canoe, track, rugby, golf, netball, table tennis, library, shooting, council, smc, debate, and of course, guitar! These people in my group were absolutely great! Didn't know anyone from the start except matthew the nice rugger. Haha but throughout the camp, you learn about their strengths and limitations and how to trust and rely on them, rubbing shoulders with both guys and girls alike became like second nature. Fortunately my group had more guys too, so we accomplished all our challenges well easily with all that strong muscles to lift you, support you and carry you etc...hahaha nice. Ran in the rain, wad in the mud, crawl under the drains, trekked in the 'jungle' were just some things. I really loved everything we did as a team! =)

Oh haha, not forgetting, we had the finest mentors too! Plus an old boy who's only 3 yrs older and the best camper or smth for his batch who's attached to our group, but we called him uncle anyway la. He's freaking nice. Applied leave from army just to attend this camp with us. At the end of our 3 and 1/2 hrs trekking, he started to suan me!! Muahaha...i was all ready to flung my watch at him when i thought i heard him say crescent ppl had the 'gender' look just becos i said i was from crescent..haha u know...but nah, he said we have the gentle look!! Hahaha..

Okies so much for CCAAB. Got my badge last night at the grad dinner. And i'll definitely miss all the wonderful memories we all had tgt.

Alrighty, in addition to the previous list of camps i'm gonna have for this hols, now i also have a WAP at TTK hospital for 4 days. Must thank ms low for her recommendations... Haha wow. Life never got busier than this! And i'm gonna enjoy them all! =) Yays!

thanks loads lau for all the prep talk through the night! Hahaha and aly for your early morning call! Kel for you wishes too! =) Love ya all loads!! Oh and of course, everyone else who's sent their best regards =)) They meant a great deal!

2. CCAAB
Nat i wanna kill the person who bully us into bringing our guitars when we've alr got so much barang barang to bring! I mean just think about it, lucky for those like SMC who need only to bring their brains, and track bring trainers, dance bring their tippy toes, etc. Canoe should just bring their boats too la! =P

3. Scuba
Haha needa go swimming to build up some stamina first! Ahh...

4. Movie MARATHON! plus sleepover(hopefully)
Eh start making your lists first while waiting leh. Movie lists, food lists, etc..hahaha

5. POF party
